The DBFC is sensitive to the reality of suffering of several Cambodian women and girls by labor exploitation, abuse, violence and discrimination. Our centers of education are opened with special attention to girls in disadvantage. The attention to children through programs like the Don Bosco Children Fund, is a way to support several poor families, many of them run by single/abandoned mothers. Our boys are educated in the value of respect and appreciation for the person of the woman and their right for a life of dignity and equal opportunities and society and family.

It is also our mission in Cambodia to see for the fullfilment of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women that was adopted by the UN on 18 December 1979. Here the complete text of the Convention as one of our key documents of mission. Title, subtitles, underlines and key words are from the study team of DBFC.
